Another great weekend of results at Oxford and Maxwell! 22 speeding tkts and a host of medals by Barramundi swimmers.

Ricky Martin (10yrs) Best Boy in Bagcats at Oxford Gala '09

Most notable was 10 yr old Ricky Martin for gaining 2 Golds and 3 bronzes, 4 Speeding Tickets and winning Best Boy at the Oxford L3 Gala.

Firstly, well done to all Swimmers last weekend, including the conclusion of the Regionals.

At the Regionals – particular mention must go to the club’s National  Qualifier, Alex Murphy (14 yrs) who won 2 golds for 100m Breaststroke 1.10.64,  (SE Region long course record) and 200 Breaststroke 2.33.25. Watch the 100m breaststroke final in the video on the right handside – thanks Judith James for that ( more videos to come….)

Both times are new County Long course records in the Junior (U16) section.

Didcot Barramundi have been successful in their application for an award to help with the creation of a new club section and training for coaches and lifeguards to support this.

The amount awarded was £3,758 and this will go a long way towards helping the creation of the new section.

Part of the new section has already started at the Oratory school on Friday nights.
